OUR WORLD director, Cheryl King, extends her run in Grapefruit one-woman show at the Stage Left Studio in New York City.

In May, 2010 Sally Lambert brought her new autobiographical  play, Grapefruit , to Cheryl King, proprietor of Stage Left Studio, who scheduled its production immediately. Grapefruit was a universal “find” written in the form of a laugh-out-loud comedy. COMEDY!

On July 25, two months before the first public performance, Sally Lambert passed away, and the production was respectfully cancelled. The play, however, refused to be retired. An acclaimed actress in her own right, Cheryl King sent the play to the much sought after director, Theresa Gambacorta, who cleared her calendar.

On September 28, 2011 Sally Lambert’s irresistibly prescient story of her life and the forces that ended opened at STAGE LEFT STUDIO (214 West 30th Street – 6th floor) starring Cheryl King and directed by Theresa Gambacorta.

Through Monday, March 19. For ticket information contact:

Miss King’s thoughtful portrayal of this woman in stages of grief and then acceptance is staggeringly real.Suzanna Bowling, Times Square Chronicles
